SST 62 Supervisor Renewal Package Option 1

Under Local Law 196, construction supervisors must complete 62 hours of approved on-site safety training to obtain an SST card. The City Department of Buildings (NYC DOB) requires supervisors to take renewal classes after 5 years before the SST card expires. Cardholders must complete 16 hours of additional training to renew their supervisors’ SST Card for another 5 years.

The SST Supervisor Renewal Package Option 1 is a course package designed to fulfill the training and certification requirements set by the New York City Department of Buildings (NYC DOB). This comprehensive package includes two essential courses: the NYC DOB 8-Hour Fall Prevention Course, the NYC DOB 8-Hour Site Safety Course. By completing this package, you will become eligible to renew your 62 Hour SST Supervisors Card.

Upon completion of this course, you will receive a SITE SAFETY TRAINING SUPERVISOR CARD (SST SUPERVISOR Card).

• Learn about fall hazards and their prevention.
• Understand NYC DOB regulations and industry standards related to fall prevention.
• Acquire knowledge of fall protection systems, equipment, and their proper usage.
• Develop the ability to assess and respond to fall-related emergencies effectively.

NYC DOB 8-Hour Chapter 33 / Site Safety Manager Refresher

• Explain the differences between the various types of safety professionals
• Recognize rules and regulations and the reasons why they were put into place.
• Identify the different types of safety practices and procedures that are put in place to protect the public and property during construction and       demolition operations in NYC.
• Describe proper communication procedures between licensed safety professionals and the New York City Department of Buildings.
