Under the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, employers are responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for their employees.
The OSHA 10-hour General Industry Training program provides basic safety and health information and education for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces in the general industry. The training also provides information regarding workers' rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint. Students will receive free study guides and handbooks to aid their learning.
The 10-hour class is intended to provide workers with awareness of common job-related safety and health hazards.
