This course is a General Elective approved by the New York City Department of Buildings that can help fulfill the requirement for an individual applying for a Site Safety Training (SST) card. This is awareness level training only and does not provide any other qualification or authorization outside of the Site Safety Training Card.

There are a range of heat illnesses that can affect anyone, regardless of age or physical condition. Whether you're working outside on a hot day, or inside in a heat-producing area, heat-related illnesses could affect you.  By completing heat stress training and taking the necessary steps to avoid heat related illnesses, you will learn ways to beat the heat.

Upon completion of this course, you will receive a 1-hour Protection from Sun Exposure certificate on your SST card.
