1-Hour First Aid and CPR

This course is a General Elective approved by the New York City Department of Buildings that can help fulfill the requirement for an individual applying for a Site Safety Training (SST) card. This is awareness level training only and does not provide any other qualification or authorization outside of the Site Safety Training Card.

Employees must be provided with a safe workplace that is reasonably free of occupational hazards. However, injuries do occur. Therefore, employers are required to provide medical and first aid personnel and supplies sufficient to deal with the expected hazards of the workplace. The goal of this training is to provide general information that may be of assistance during an injury situation.

Understanding basic first aid techniques will provide you with the necessary techniques to respond quickly and safely to emergency situations. Knowing how to administer CPR, clean and dress wounds, or even set a splint are just a few examples of these techniques. Emergencies wait for no one, so it is always best to be prepared for anything. 

Upon completion of this course, you will receive a 1-hour First Aid and CPR certificate on your SST card.
