1-Hour Asbestos / Lead Awareness

This course is a specialized elective approved by the New York City Department of Buildings that can help fulfill the requirement for an individual applying for a Site Safety Training (SST) card. This is awareness level training only and does not provide any other qualification or authorization outside of the Site Safety Training Card.

Trainees will become generally familiar with the health effects of asbestos and lead in the workplace, will be able to recognize places and locations where asbestos and lead containing materials may be found in the construction industry, will be able to avoid health hazards associated with asbestos and lead, and should become aware of administrative safety requirements associated with asbestos and lead in the workplace.

Upon completion of this course, you will receive a 1-hour Asbestos / Lead Awareness certificate on your SST card.
